(this is rough and will be edited) My topic is the draft, the process of drawing soldiers from a population in a time of war. This process encompasses several steps that are problematic for our nation. Drafting soldiers is just like the lottery with one big exception: only some people can play. Drafting soldiers seems like the lotto games shown on TV commercials, but it is really a high stakes sorting exercise that some deem as unfair.Social movements, political climates, and changing technology has had a big effect on the draft.

3. Craft a two-chunk paragraph addressing the mediums you used
(type of advertisement x 2) and the following questions:
a. For both: Why does this particular medium work as opposed to other types of advertising/
persuasive mediums?
b. For Ads: Why do you think your campaign will be successful given the competition? What other ads
are there for similar products?

c. For Propaganda: Why do you think your propaganda campaign will be successful given the
competition? What other propaganda campaigns are there for similar emotions or ideas?
